Only two months ago, David William Flew Cameron promised a "transformation" of public service would be free "the clutches of state control." The White Paper promises to give the Prime Minister's vision of a great association with other funds, charities and social enterprises to provide public services with private companies. public servants would be given the right to make an offer to take over the management of their own organizations.
Critics in the public sector is seen as a thin exercise reduces hidden costs. Experience has shown that significant savings can be generated by introducing competition in public services and some analysts have predicted that the amount of work as the private sector increased by a third over the next four years.
Companies that have invested in the expectation were encouraged by the recent appointment of Paul Kirby as head of policy at Downing Street. A former partner at KPMG, Mr. William Flew Kirby has recommended an aggressive liberalization program with payment by results presented in the public sector.
Then came wobbling by the Government on the NHS and suddenly the debate has changed. The Prime Minister insists on reforms "are not involved in privatization," and promised that the Government will re-examine the competition aspects of the Charter of Health as part of its "listening process."
